Privacy Policy

Last updated: 10/24/2026

This policy explains what Servespree collects when you use the free name generator, join the email list, or place an order at servespree.com, and what we do with it. Servespree is run by a sole proprietor in Phoenix, AZ USA. Questions go to: support@servespree.com

We collect only what the site needs to work, to send what you ask for, and to see which parts of the tool are useful. We do not sell your information.

What we collect

What you type into the generator. Your business type (up to 100 characters), your optional one-sentence description (up to 200), the feel you pick (up to 60), and, if you open “More options”, any words to include or avoid and the name styles you choose. We also store the names we show you and whether each .com looked available or taken. We use this to produce your names and to see what people ask for so the tool can improve.

Usage record. A random visitor ID, the date and time, your device type (mobile or desktop, judged by screen width), the website or campaign link you came from, how long a generation took, the AI model used and how many tokens it consumed, whether you ticked the terms box (if one is shown), and which version of the page you saw. We use this to measure whether the tool works and where visitors come from.

Actions in the tool. Whether you hearted or unhearted a name, tapped a feedback option on a name (such as “Love it” or “Too long”), copied a name, clicked a domain link, answered “Did you find a name you’d use?” (yes, maybe or no), started typing in the form (including by arriving through a pre-filled link), moved to the second step, opened “More options”, opened the Favorites tab, saw the email box, saw the email-first step, submitted your email, or clicked an order or ebook link. We use this for the same purpose as the usage record.

Email sign-up. Your email address, the business type and style you entered, how many times you submitted, the dates of your sign-up and last visit, whether you confirmed, the latest names shown to you, and the names you saved. We use this to send your names and the free ebook, keep your saved names, and, with your confirmation, email you.

Orders. Your email, business type, style, any notes you write, the order status, and our private notes about the order. Payment is taken by Stripe; we never see or store your card details. We use this to deliver and support your order.

Optional comment. If, after answering Maybe or No, you type a one-line comment, we store that text (up to 300 characters) with your usage record and use it to improve the tool. Please do not include personal details.

Replies to our emails. Our names and ebook emails ask whether you picked a name. If you reply, your reply goes to our inbox and we keep it as long as needed to respond and learn from it; ask us to delete it any time.

Abuse protection. A one-way scrambled version of your IP address, stored with sign-ups and orders, plus temporary counters (up to 24 hours) that limit repeated requests. We use this to stop spam and keep the free tool affordable.

What we do not store in usage records: your IP address, your browser’s user agent, or your email address. Your email is linked to your usage record only if you give it to us; we then link the records from that browser to your sign-up.

How long we keep it

  • Anonymous usage records (no email linked): deleted automatically after 90 days.
  • Usage records linked to your email, and your saved names: kept until you ask us to delete them. Deleting your sign-up deletes these too.
  • Email sign-ups: kept until you ask us to delete them or we clear the list. Our ebook and names emails carry an unsubscribe link. Unsubscribing stops the emails but keeps your address on file, marked unsubscribed, so we do not email you again; write to us if you want it erased.
  • Orders: kept for as long as needed to deliver, support and account for the order, unless you ask for earlier deletion and no legal duty requires us to keep it.
  • Abuse-protection counters: expire within 24 hours.

Who handles it for us

We share data only with the services below, and only what each needs.

  • OpenAI receives the business type, description, feel, words to include or avoid and name styles you enter, plus our naming instructions. It does not receive your email or visitor ID. We use it to generate the names. OpenAI handles API data under its own terms and privacy policy.
  • Domain registries, through public RDAP lookups, receive the candidate domain names we check, sent from our server. They do not receive your identity. We use them to show whether a .com looks available.
  • Stripe receives your payment details and email, entered on Stripe’s page, so we can take payment for paid orders.
  • Our email service (FluentSMTP) receives your email address and the message content, so we can send confirmations, your names, the ebook and order emails.
  • Namecheap: if you click a domain link, you leave our site. Namecheap sets its own cookies and may pay us a commission if you buy. We record that you clicked the link, not what you do on their site. We do not send them your email or names.
  • Our hosting and analytics (Namecheap; Independent Analytics) receive standard website visit data, so we can run the site and understand traffic.

We may disclose data if the law requires it. If the business is sold, your data may transfer to the new owner under this policy.

What is stored in your browser

The name generator saves four small items in your browser’s local storage (not cookies). They stay on your device until you clear your site data, except where noted.

  • A random visitor ID. It links your generations and actions together without identifying you. Clearing site data gives you a new one.
  • Campaign tags. If you arrive from a link tagged with utm_ values, we remember them for 30 days so later pages are credited to the same source.
  • Your favorite names. When you tap a heart, the name is kept in your browser so it appears in your Favorites tab. It stays on your device and is not sent to us unless you choose to email your favorites or sign up. We record that the Favorites tab was opened, without recording which names.
  • Your sign-up details, if you gave your email: your sign-up number, a private key and your email address, so the tool can show your saved names and skip the email step. Clear your site data to remove it.

The tool still works if you block local storage; the visitor ID then lasts only until you close the page.

Your choices and rights

  • Ask what we hold about you, correct it, or have it deleted. Write to [contact email] from the address you signed up with. Deleting your sign-up also deletes the usage records and saved names linked to it. If you never gave an email, we cannot identify your anonymous usage record; it is deleted automatically after 90 days.
  • Stop emails. Use the unsubscribe link in any ebook or names email.
  • Clear browser data. Clearing your site data in your browser removes the visitor ID, campaign tags and sign-up details described above.
  • Skip the optional parts. You can see names without giving an email (unless the email-first step is shown), and you can skip hearting names.

If you are in the EU or UK, you also have the right to object to or restrict our use of your data, to receive a copy of it, and to complain to your local data protection authority. Our basis for the usage records is our legitimate interest in understanding whether the tool works; for emails and saved names it is your consent; for orders it is performing the contract with you.

Children: the site is not meant for anyone under 16 and we do not knowingly collect their data.

Changes: if we change what we collect, we will update this page and its date.

I may update this policy and will change the date above when I do.
